The Legacy Passport Fire Helmet Shield is the custom leather helmet front built for firefighters who need flexibility. The secure Velcro backing lets you swap out the center passport section for different assignments, roles, or rigs without replacing the whole shield.
I build each passport fire helmet shield from 8/9 oz premium vegetable-tanned leather. Hand-tooled, hand painted, and machine stitched with real thread. The Velcro holds firm during the most intense fireground conditions but peels off easy when you need to swap configurations.

Each shield takes 4-5 hours of hands-on work and our standard production time is approximately 21 business days. Every shield is handcrafted to order: designed, laser cut from 9oz bridle leather, hand tooled, laser etched, hand painted, machine stitched on a Cobra Class 3, and edge finished before shipping.
We use premium 9-ounce vegetable-tanned bridle leather sourced from American retailers. This is the same weight of leather used in saddles and heavy-duty belts: thick, dense, and built to withstand the demands of the fireground. It's naturally heat and water resistant and holds its shape when wet.
Yes. We custom-make shields to fit ALL major helmet brands including Cairns (1010, 1044, N5A, N6A), MSA, Phenix TL-2, Bullard, Morning Pride, and Honeywell.
