I build each Solo from the same premium 9oz vegetable-tanned bridle leather I use in my full-size custom fire helmet shields. It's minimalist by design, but don't let the simplicity fool you. This personalized helmet front is built to take the same beating as anything else I make.

Each shield takes 4-5 hours of hands-on work and our standard production time is approximately 21 business days. Every shield is handcrafted to order: designed, laser cut from 9oz bridle leather, hand tooled, laser etched, hand painted, machine stitched on a Cobra Class 3, and edge finished before shipping.
We use premium 9-ounce vegetable-tanned bridle leather sourced from American retailers. This is the same weight of leather used in saddles and heavy-duty belts: thick, dense, and built to withstand the demands of the fireground. It's naturally heat and water resistant and holds its shape when wet.
